Success Stories
Below are some of the many successful horses that have been sold from Turlood Stables. We very much enjoy hearing how our horses are doing and what they have been up to, be it competing or simply hacking.

High Cavalier
High Cavalier qualified for the PAVO breeding championships at Tweseldown. He won the only PAVO 5yr old qualifier in Scotland by 10.5 penalty marks finishing on his dressage score of 30. He was bought from Billy Stewart in Lesmahagow and is by High Roller (Grand sire is Cavalier Royale who had offspring at Badminton and Rolex this year)
Rayef
Advanced event horse Rayef, partnered by Laura Collett. They won both Team and Individual Gold at the Junior Europeans in Switzerland. Rayef was imported by us.
Kefran
Andrew Fielder -International Show Jumper, now a successful Dressage Rider, partnered here with Kefran who was imported by ourselves and now has a successful dressage career.

The Joker
“Hi Kate,
Just to let you know The Joker a 5 year old coloured Irish gelding you sold to me a couple of months ago has settled in well. I am thoroughly enjoying him as he is a genuine horse in every way just as you said. He suits my abilities and is giving me great confidence. I had the vet out last week to give him his annual injections and do his teeth. He was such a good boy despite only being 5. I am thoroughly delighted with him and would recommend you to anyone who is looking for a good horse to suit their capabilities.

Since buying Maverick from you in the spring, he hasn't put a hoof wrong and really has been the capable, sensible horse described - my instructor can't get enough of him! Sarena, Jasper and Poppy
Hi Kate,
Thought I'd drop you a wee note to let you know how Sarena and I are getting on and send some pics too. She has been a real star for me in the last 18 months. She has brought my confidence on no end and we are now jumping 1m classes which is a real achievement considering I would only do a small cross pole the day I bought her. Have even managed to do the odd jump around the 1.20m mark, eeek! She is definitely a show jumping school mistress and a real character to boot, we all love her very much.
My mum’s horse Jasper (whom she also bought from you a few months after I bought Sarena) is doing well also. He has grown to 17hh now and looks nothing like the wee 16.1hh he was when we brought him home. Mum has been doing really well with him and has even managed the odd round of jumping too. He is a playful big chap who is still safe as houses and we are looking forward to the better weather to get out on some nice long hacks.
The last pic I have attached has another Kate Bunting horse in too, Poppy. Thought it was a nice one to send you as they are all good friends (as are the owners J).

Piper

Just a little message to tell you how i am getting on with Piper the 15.2 8 year old, we bought him last year from you and he has been a wee gem. We have been practicing for a jumping comp that we hope to go to this year. He has settled into his new home very well and loves all his new friends. He has such a character.
